Which surfaces can I attach pottery wheel sanding discs to?
You can stick our ceramic sanding discs to any kind of base (wooden bats, synthetic boards, aluminum, plastic, etc.). The strong adhesive backing makes it possible to adhere them to a variety of materials. This way, you can keep your usual workflow, continue using your own bats, and take advantage of the wheel’s rotation to polish pieces, fix imperfections, or correct any uneven areas or “wobbling.”
Alternative approach:
If you’d rather not use the adhesive, you can try our “bat-gripping cloth for the wheel,” moistened with water, right on the wheel or on your bat. In that case, there’s no need to peel off the backing of the sanding disc—just place it directly on the cloth, and the cloth’s design will hold it firmly in place without any gluing.
